Rise UP

We work. We play. We retire for the night and sleep.

We rise up the next morning, ready to embrace the opportunities of the day.

Sometimes those opportunities fail and collapse from under us. They mirror the times we fall, or retire from our efforts of the day.

But we must remember to rise up each time. Like the new day, as leaders we must rise up over our challenges and persevere if we are ever going to make a positive difference in our world.

A colleague of mine posted on social media last week that her day started with a huge disappointment and ended with a great victory that received some positive press. She summarized her post about the highs and lows of her business by saying “Sometimes the most important thing to do is keep moving forward.”

She learned to rise up over the heartache of the first challenge and move forward to embrace the victory of the next challenge. As a marathon runner, she’s learned to develop that habit. Each step is a step closer to the victory that awaits all of us. Be we must rise up each time in order to claim it.

What stumbling blocks did you hit last week? Today starts a new week, a new day. Rise UP over the failures and lead by a positive example today!!
